Like every year, since I first discovered this experience, Burningman for me is kind of a home. I feel that I already know the streets, the people and many of the artists, musicians and camps that are taking part every year.
And still, this is a completely different experience every time.
Last year I got married in the desert (for the article, pictures and the full video of the wedding click here) and this year I returned to my favorite desert for another round, to breathe the dust of the desert and to feel at home again.
What is “Burningman” ?
Burning man is a “city” that is built for only week, then dismantles and leaves the desert area empty & clean as before. The Burningman population during this week contains around 70,000 people, all of whom came to the event with pre-preparation of accommodation, food, drink and “gifting”.
The tradition of giving gifts to others is part of the principles of the event and there is no use of money at all.
Everyone has to take care of his own needs during the event.
I decided to write less words and let the pictures speak for themselves.
Thanks to the talented photographers: Tomer Peretz, Mika Gurevitch, Limor Ness (and a few sentimental images from my iPhone 🙂 )
